Who We Are

Our Purpose

The purpose of the church is to glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40), and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20. 

We Fulfill Our Purpose by Doing the Following

Worship (Celebrate God’s Presence) Matthew 22:36-40

  • We are to demonstrate our love for God through daily personal devotions and through public worship services. (Psalm 100:1,4, Matthew 4:10, John 4:23-24, John 12:32, James 4:8, Romans, 12:1, Hebrews 10:25, 1 Peter 3:15)

Ministry & Service (Demonstrate God’s Love) Matthew 22:36-40

  •  We are to endeavor to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those in our church community and in the world. (John 13:35, 1 Peter 4:10-11, Thessalonians 5:11, Galatians 5:13, Galatians 6: 2, 10, Ephesians 4:11-12, Hebrews 10:24

Evangelism & Missions (Communicate God’s Word) Matthew 28:18-20

  •  We are to extend the Kingdom of God by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our community and throughout the world. (Acts 1:8, Ephesians 3:10, 2 Peter 3:9, 2 /Corinthians 5:17-21 

Discipleship (Educate God’s People) Matthew 28:18-20

  •   We are to develop believers toward full Christian maturity and train them for effective ministry. (Ephesians 2:8-10, Colossians 3:16, 2 Peter 3:18, Hebrews 6:1)

Fellowship (Incorporate God’s People) Acts 2:42

  • We are to encourage, support and pray for each other as we share our lives together. (1 John 1:7, Acts 2:46-47, Romans 15:5,7, John 13:34-35)
